Love Aroma

As you probably know, I love candles so when Love Aroma offered to send me some of their products I was so excited! I have seen a couple of their stores before on my travels and I always love visiting candle shops because it smells amazing! All of the candle scents combine and it is just heaven.

I’ll start off by telling you a little bit about the company and then we’ll get into the candles! Love Aroma is an award winning specialist home fragrance retailer bringing together a collection of brands from across the globe. They were the winner of Best Specialist Multiple Retailer of Gifts at The Greats Gift Retailer Awards 2016. Being the largest independent retailer for Yankee Candle in Britain, Love Aroma offers over 60 fragrances. The company is also one of the leading independent retailers for Lampe Berger Paris, an established French fragrance lamp company. Stores also stock other well-known home fragrance brands including WoodWick candles that crackle as they burn and two UK handmade ranges - Stoneglow and Lily-Flame and madebyzen aroma diffusers that scent your home using cool mist. The Love Aroma website also sells a wider range of fragrances and brands such as Boujies London, Paddywax, Ashleigh & Burwood and Kringle Candle. There are 10 stores across the UK including London’s Stratford City shopping centre, Birmingham, Essex, Leeds, Sheffield, Leicester, Derby, Solihull and online at lovearoma.co.uk.

They sent me three candles to try and I love them all! They sent me a Yankee Candle, Kringle Candle and Woodwick. I have tried Yankee Candle before many times and I love the brand but I have never really tried the other two. I have heard great things about Woodwick before but just haven’t got round to trying it! Kringle Candle is a brand that I have heard of before from American bloggers but I wasn’t aware that it was available in this country and I am super happy that it is!

I received the new Yankee Candle Summer Peach which features in the Riviera Escape collection. The colour is really pretty and great for this time of year. It is a coral-peach and adds a pop of colour to the area where you place it. If you put it on a white shelf it would look really pretty because the white and coral would contrast with each other and it looks really cute! The bottle is very good quality as it is glass and it’s quite thick glass and the lid has a suction on it so it won’t fall off and it’s secure. The scent is a gorgeous, juicy peach and it has a zingy aroma to it also. It’s a lovely sweet scent meaning it’s great for the Summer months as it’s fresh and takes you to an island full of peaches; I’ve never been to an island like that but if there is one somewhere I’d love to go! On the Love Aroma website it has an image which tells you the notes in the candle which I find really interesting in helpful! The top notes are Georgia Peach, middle notes of Sweet Peach and base notes of Musk and Vanilla! I can definitely sense the vanilla in the candle and the peach is definitely in there! This product is said to burn between 25 and 40 hours and I would say it will definitely last a while. If you use candles constantly then it may not last so long but if you like a variation, like me, then it will probably last quite a while. The scent of this isn’t that noticeable when lit and it takes a while until the smell spreads. You can get this candle in several formats and sizes. There is a small, medium and large jar, tealights, a votive and a wax melt. Prices range from £1.49 to £21.99 and you can buy it here.

The next one was a complete surprise! I was so happy when I got this because it’s a candle brand that I have never tried before in the past and I have always wanted to. Kringle Candle opened in October 2010 in Massachusetts and I didn’t even realise that they sold it in the UK! Their bestselling candle is Watercolors which is the one that I received. All of Kringle’s candles are white so that they match any backdrop and make the brightest light. The packaging is so classy and sleek and it makes it look a lot more expensive that what it actually is! Also, the labels are really pretty too! Each scent has a unique label that has a gorgeous image too! The one that I have is a mix of blue, purple and pink watercolour paint splashes. This scent would be great for all seasons and all weather as it is a fresh scent with a combination of nine main notes including strawberry, currant, citrus, apple, sweet pea, jasmine, rose, sandalwood and musk. I would never think of putting these scents together but it smells so gorgeous! It is a subtle scent which is a little like the common baby powder and cotton but I can smell a fruity undertone. Also, the musk is noticeable making the candle not too sweet but not too deep either. For me, it’s the perfect scent! The scent of this spreads quite quickly when lit and it makes the room smell so nice! There are three sizes in this scent; daylight candle which is £2.99, small classic jar which is £16.99 and the large 2 wick which is £22.99. You can purchase this here.

And finally onto the Woodwick which is probably one of the most unique candles I have tried. Woodwork are known for the crackling candles and most of my family members have one so I’m very excited to join in with the tradition! Coconut scents are probably ones that everyone likes; I have never met anyone that doesn’t like the smell of coconut. This is a really Summery scent with a creamy vanilla tone in it along with the gorgeous coconut scent! If you closed your eyes, you’d expect to be on a desert island listening to the waves splash by, but don’t be too disappointed when you open them and you’re in your living room! When I burn this, it makes the atmosphere so cosy as the crackling sounds like a traditional fire and I love how it sounds and feels! The wick is a cross shape which I think helps with the crackling or something like that! I would definitely recommend trying Woodwick as a brand because they create an atmosphere like nothing else and the range of scents is endless! I would definitely love to try more and I have particularly had my eye on the Peace & Joy Trilogy Candle which has 3 different scents in one and it just looks gorgeous! There are 2 sizes in this; the regular one is £17.99 and the large one is £23.99 and they can be bought here!

Overall, I think that Love Aroma is a brand that is definitely worth a second look and you should definitely try them when you need or want a new candle! If you pass one of their shops, have a look inside because it is pretty much heaven and they have a huge variety of scents, products and brands.
