I am a huge fan of makeup but I also have the same feeling about makeup brushes! I love discovering new ones and exploring different brands. I came across BrushPerfect and was very excited because they looked so pretty! They actually sent me over a set so I thought I would put them to the test and let you know what I thought! Their Instagram feed is so pretty so go and give them a follow!
In the collection they have four face brushes which can be bought in a set and they all come in a very sleek, matte black box which is tied together with this gorgeous cream coloured ribbon! This set would be a great gift option because it’s already wrapped perfectly! The brushes also have this very sleek design and they are so pretty! Each one comes in a plastic packet and a sleeve for the brush heads which is great for hygiene purposes! The packaging of the brushes themselves matches the box that they come in and they all have matte black hands with the silver ‘Brush Perfect’ logo. The quality of the brushes is amazing! They are really hardwearing and feel very sturdy to use. In the past I have had brushes that just feel weak and break almost straight away and these are not one of those! They are so solid and durable and will not be breaking any time soon. I would say that the brush heads were duo fibre which are some of my favourites, I’m not sure why but I just find that they work better! The bottom is a creamy colour and then it blends into the top which is a dark brown. At the top there is a very white colour which I find very handy because you can easily tell when the brush is dirty and then you can wash it! They are so soft but we’ll get more into that next!
In the set you get four brushes that are mainly for face but you could probably use one for the eyes. All of the brushes are very soft and easy to use and apply product with. The bristles are tightly packed and I haven’t had any stray hairs or any hairs falling out which is great because I always seem to buy brushes that do this so I was very happy to see that these didn’t! Another thing that I love about these is the smell, well they don’t have one! Sometimes you buy brushes from the internet and they smell like paint or something like that because they have been in factories when produced along with other manufacturers and products but these don’t have a scent to them meaning they have probably been naturally produced. The brushes don’t have names so I’m just going to use my own reference. The smallest one of them all is what I would called the flat concealer brush. This is very thin and good for precise application of concealer. It is great to use on spots and blemishes because it applies products to the highest coverage. It is also good for concealing dark circles under the eyes and this, along with the next one, doesn’t absorb the product which is why it gives full coverage. This one is a bigger version of the concealer brush and I will call this the flat foundation brush. I have tried quite a few of these in the past and I did not like them at all but this completely changed my opinion! It is the perfect shape for the face and the defined tip easily gets into the smaller areas like around the eyes and nose. The brush is really soft but dense at the same time so liquid foundation doesn’t sink into it and you can get an airbrushed look. If you like full coverage, you will love this brush because it just applies foundation immaculately and to the highest of coverage. Using this and the concealer brush together will give you the perfect base! The next and last two brushes I would recommend using with powder because they are softer and a little less dense than the others. The smaller one is the angled powder brush and this is quite versatile. I love this one for bronzer and blusher because I find it is the perfect size and shape for both of these areas. As this is an angled brush I find it great for bronzing up the face because you can really get into the hollows of the cheeks. But it is also really good for blush as you can apply it to the apples of the cheeks really easily and bring it up a little. By using this brush you are able to get full pigmentation but also blend it out at the same time. And last but certainly not least is the domed powder brush. I normally like really soft brushes for powder so I wasn’t sure if I would like this but I do and I have been using it quite a lot! The size is quite big so it is easy to powder the whole face quickly but as it is dense you can get a perfect application and set the face really nicely. All of these brushes are really soft and not harsh on the face and apply product really easily and they can be used for several different things! When washing I found that they dried back to the original shape and colour and none of the bristles fell out or strayed away from the brushes.
Overall I think that these brushes are definitely worth a try! There aren’t many cheaper brush alternatives available but these are great! They are soft, hard wearing and apply products perfectly to the skin! And they are very affordable! At the moment you can only get these from Amazon but they have a website coming soon so keep your eyes peeled for that! The RRP of this set is £27.99 which is for all four brushes but they are currently only £9.99 for them all; that’s less than £3 a brush, crazy! This offer lasts while September so hurry before you miss it! You can also find them on Instagram and Twitter so don’t forget to give them a follow and share pictures of your brushes!
